Especially  Madake,a native Japanese bamboo, is the most common kind  and used for many different things. It is called  "Japanese-timber-bamboo"  in English.

The simple appearance of the  drying-processed Madake doesn't make a person sick.

The drying-processed Madake will gradualli turn from tan-yellow to amber after 60 to 80 years.
